Biochar Workshop with
Cascadia Conservation District -
March 20th, 10 AM - 4 PM
Please join us for a hands-on experience converting removed trees and orchard pruning into valuable Biochar! You’ll see the kiln in action and observe the burn process up close as you learn how biochar is made, how it improves air quality, how it enhances soil fertility and health, and how it is a sustainable alternative to pile burning.

The carbon put in soil from compost and mulch usually lasts for only around 5-10 years. In contrast, over 80% of carbon from biochar lasts over 100 years in our soils, sometimes thousands of years. Biochar functions similarly to compost in its ability to store water and nutrients for plants.

This field experience is designed for people who own or manage orchards or vineyards, but is open to anyone interested in biochar for agricultural use!

Registration is REQUIRED, so please go to this link for more details, the dress code, and the liability waiver: https://luma.com/h1p63g4d
No Kings Rally - March 28th, 1-3 PM
**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.**

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.

On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*

Action for Gaza - Great Ride of Return -
March 29th, 12 PM
Join Abde for the Great Ride of Return to support The Gaza Sunbirds, a paracycling team in Gaza. The founder Alaa Al Dali and many members of the team lost limbs during the Great March of the Return, in 2018. Since the Genocide started they have been delivering food parcels through the rubble-strewn streets of Gaza, on their bicycles! They are truly remarkable humans and are doing a lot of work for disability justice in Palestine!
